57th ANNUAL SHRM CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

CHEMICAL SECURITY SUMMIT

employeescreenIQ exhibited at Chemical Security Summit in Baltimore, MD on June 26-28, 2005. It is increasingly clear among all industries that employment screening is an important part of any corporate security strategy. It was our pleasure to share our knowledge and discuss practical application of screening practices to the unique needs of the chemical industry.

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: PRIVACY ENHANCEMENTS

employeescreenIQ is pleased to announce the following security and privacy enhancement: Beginning June 2005 Social Security Numbers will be truncated on the reports we prepare for our customers. This new measure has been adopted to protect both our clients and their applicants and to mitigate any potential misuse of information by those not approved to receive these reports. The new format for the Social Security Numbers will be XXX-XX-1234 (for example).

employeescreenIQ will continue to proactively seek new and innovative methods for security and privacy protection. Please feel free to contact us if you have comments or questions about these measures or if you would like to recommend others.

Best Practices Tip
Of course, we all know that consumer reports are highly confidential and should only be reviewed by those that need to use them in order to make a hiring decision. Please do not share your user name and password with others. Further, BIS encourages you to make sure that if you choose to print hard copies of these reports that they be kept in a well-protected area inaccessible to others within your organization. Even leaving them on your desk while waiting to file them can represent a security breach.
